Who should attend and Why

Who should attend

Often I have heard people say that good governance is the Governments responsibility and the other buzzword and hype is around Corporate social responsibility (CSR). Whose domain is social responsibility? Is it just for the government and corporates or something that applies to all citizens in a democracy.

When we first started planning the conclave we thought of focusing on good governance and social responsibility. However we realised that we need citizen participation in all sectors by creating citizen involvement for social action by sensitising them about social issues in a simplified way.

The social action conclave does not promise instant solutions to problems like poverty, marginalization, inequity and ill health… but it would be a multi lateral/sectoral platform to share ideas, experiences, and information and get the story told inspiring solutions and social action from the citizens of India in Government, Corporate India, NGOs, Media, Students, SMEs, etc. because it is people who drive organisations and government and can ultimately bring about change.

Why should you attend
The idea is to share and disseminate information and experts’ thought processes using The SOCIAL JUSTICE & ACTION Conclave platform so as to mainstream and simplify issues in the citizen sector, to create proactive citizen involvement and social action thus automatically promoting social responsibility in all sectors.

It is a platform where one could share their views and perspectives, and respectfully agree to disagree. This is an important aspect, and perhaps even the USP.
